The training in UK has made Dr. Amol and Dr. Anuja Sagdeo, keen Critical Care Consultants.

Their personal practice believes in evidence based medicine.

The standards of training in the UK are high and exacting. The principles of UK training are that it is competency based; is planned; is evaluated and has clear objectives. There are certain generic educational skills, which they have gained, essential to the training of all specialists in the UK that include communication; presentation; audit; ethics and law; teaching; and management skills.

Both of the course directors are ALS trained from the Resuscitation Council, UK.

They have also been formally trained on the ‘Patient Transfer Course’ run by the Northwest Deanery, Manchester.

They are also ACLS (AHA certified) providers and instructors.

TEACHING AND TRAINING

They have been actively involved in teaching and training at undergraduate and post graduate levels, both in India and the UK. They have undergone formal training courses about various modern teaching methods such as PBL (problem based learning).

CLINICAL ORIENTATION

The FRCA examination and training is towards anaesthesia, intensive care and pain management. Coupled with the background training in Medicine, they are expertly trained to optimize peri operative management of surgical patients in SICU, of medical patients in MICU and trauma patients in casualty.
